Brennan’s Buddies Board Members
Cindy McCowen
Cindy is the mother of Brennan and his sister, Katelyn. She is 26 years old and works within the Medical field. She made plans to begin Brennan’s Buddies while Brennan himself was in treatment, although her mission has shifted since Brennan's passing, her drive and passion has not. She is always looking for ways to expand and help through Brennan's Buddies, and of course meet new Buddies along the way. All for the love of Brennan. Feel free to contact her should you have any questions or concerns at Cindy
Blake Scurlock
Blake is 25 years old and the father to Brennan. Blake and Brennan would often spend their Sundays watching Football or any other sport that could be found on TV, Blake instilled Brennan’s love of football, as well as watching him play Call of Duty. Definitely had ALOT of male bonding. Brennan was Blake's first child, he enjoys knowing he is being able to make a difference in the lives of other pediatric cancer children and families.
Shanna Willis
Shanna is Brennan's aunt. She's a Registered Nurse on a Labor and Delivery unit, and currently a student midwife through Frontier Nursing University. She loves helping families through their labor journey, and bringing smiles to those going through their pediatric cancer journey. She loves carrying on Brennan's name through this organization, and being able to bring some comfort to these families while they are going through such trying times. If you have any questions or ideas for events please do not hesitate to contact Shanna, or any of the other board members. We are always looking for new ways to reach the community and spread awareness.
Michael McCowen
Michael is Brennan’s Grandfather and the webmaster here and at Brennan’s treatment site mccowen.net. I am so grateful that I was able to spend the last year with Brennan, helping Blake and Cindy in whatever way I could.
Brennan was such a joy to be around. Always a smile or a laugh, Even in the darkest times. Brennan has taught me what is really important in life. He has changed my life in many ways, just as he has touched the lives of so many people around the world. I am so proud of all my children for coming together in Brennan’s time of need and I am so proud to be part of Brennan’s Buddies! Contact Michael
